Angel is a true baker (confectioner). And we the German Guys were not only there once. Spent many months at the LTH. If someone has claimed the opposite of producing food, they have little idea or clue about how much sweat and work it is. (It's not mass-produced) Its baked goods are very close to our bakers. He is a baker with passion and does his job, he is not just called Angel, he is also a good hearted angel as well as his whole family. I hope we meet again soon. Allison and Mary Sue keep asking about his delicious cakes, and the Bagels a poem as well as his cappuccino there is nothing to complain about. We had a wedding cake made and it was perfect! Somehow our order was lost and they made our cake within an hour the day we came to pick it up. It was beautiful. Tasted delightful. I placed an order for my daughter's sweet 16 birthday cake and was very happy with the quality of the cake and the customer service. Adrian was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. They made sure the cake was exactly as the image I sent to them. We ordered the peanut butter frosting and it was a huge hit. The price is worth the quality and service. Cozy, family owned business. All the items sold look amazing! We got the blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls are baked in the shape of a muffin and have the cream topping on them. So tasty! Coffee is great too!

Emailed the bakery from the SF Bay Area a few weeks before the event and ordered a custom cake for my birthday weekend in South Lake Tahoe. They responded promptly as what their website says ( days minimum response time) and was able to confirm my order after a few days of back and forth with the design and flavor via email. I decided on a 6in round black and white cake with vanilla buttercream icing. Paid for it over the phone and picked it up an hour earlier than my pick up time (i called and asked if i can pick up earlier). It was sooo beautiful and delicious! We all loved it! The friendly employees and delicious pastries and fresh breakfast sandwiches are a favorite of our family. This bakery is a must stop location each time we visit South Tahoe, whether it be ski days or soccer tournaments.
This is my go to bakery. Staff is the best, very kind and helpful. Waiting time is vey minimal. Pastries and coffee are some of the best I've ever had. The baked donut is something to tell everyone you know. Wow!
Came to Sugar Pine Bakery after a few failed attempts at baking a birthday cake at high elevation. Luckily, they had a 6-inch layer cake in stock. They even took the time to add a custom message and chocolate covered strawberries. This added touch was incredibly appreciated especially considering I arrived so close to closing time. The cake itself was a huge hit and baked to perfection — chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream with chocolate mouse and fresh strawberries. I addition to the cupcakes, tarts, macarons etc. pictured in my review, they are also stocked with morning pastries (e.g. danishes, muffins, scones, etc). Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
